The Cordillera Administrative Region Cooperative Union (CARCU) is a Secondary Cooperative primarily engaged in Capacity and Empowerment enhancement among cooperative officers.

Our advocacy is to empower cooperatives through training, fostering capacity building, ethical practices, financial literacy, inclusive governance, and social responsibility for a resilient and sustainable cooperative.

Mission

The CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION COOPERATIVE UNION endeavors to: 

  • Unite all types of Cooperatives in the region for better representation and coordination through their respective provincial unions and city unions.
  • Strengthen the Cooperatives to become self-reliant, viable and sustainable organization of true people empowerment.  
  • Partner with and support the government in its development activities (i.e, economic, social, physical and financial). 
  • Enhance partnership and linkages with other primary and secondary cooperatives, institution locally and internationally. 
  • Empower officers and employees through education so that they will be able to enhance the knowledge, attitudes, and skill of cooperators within CARCU's area of operations.
